Sustainability
The Federation is working with Let’s Go Zero to reduce its Carbon Footprint. We are looking at a variety of areas to help reduce our Carbon Footprint including changing our toilet rolls, cleaning products and glue sticks! We’ve been busy working with Educaterers to provide a healthy and nutritious award winning menu (ProVeg Bronze Award) and asking children and families to pre-book their meals to reduce waste.
The school will be conducting its own “Switch Off Fortnight” later in the year to teach the children about energy use and how switching off the lights and equipment in the classroom when leaving the room will have a positive impact on the carbon footprint.
Food Across the Federation
The Federation continue to use Educaterers to provide our meals for the pupils. They have been working hard to reduce the carbon footprint of the meals by reducing the amount of red meat and increasing more plant based meals. You can check out the menu here.
Check out the Planet Plates game to see if you can work out which meals have the highest carbon footprint in an interactive top trumps style game or check out Earth Club to listen to podcasts, watch videos or play the latest activities themed on saving our planet.

Our children are busy tracking their journey to school everyday with the aim to reduce the number of car journeys to school.
Sustainability Week 2025
This year the children have planted 5 new fruit trees, created a wildflower area and planted bulbs around the school. We’re looking forward to watching everything grow over the next year!
The children have been enjoying Now Press Play to learn about the environment – kindly donated by the PTA.
We have also been learning about road safety through the Beep, Beep campaign, which links into reducing our carbon footprint by encouraging children to walk to school.
